Running a small business means keeping track of all sorts of things, and paperwork is rarely the most exciting part of the job.
Receipts might seem like a small detail, but when you’re writing them out by hand, trying to keep everything organised or making sure your paperwork looks professional, those little tasks can start to add up.
If you’re still using a paper receipt book, you’ll know how repetitive it can be. And while there are apps and software that can handle receipts for you, you might not need a whole new system just to create a simple receipt.
So, is there a middle ground?
A receipt template you can make your own
I’ve created an editable Canva receipt template for small business owners who want professional-looking receipts without having to design them from scratch.
You can customise the colours, fonts, logo and layout to suit your business, giving your paperwork a consistent look that feels like your own.
Once you’ve finished editing your design, you can download it and use it as part of your existing admin routine.
It’s a straightforward option if you want something more personal than a generic receipt, without the extra complexity of an invoicing or accounting app.
Who is it for?
A reusable receipt template can be useful for all sorts of small businesses, including dog walkers, pet sitters and other pet professionals.
Perhaps you prefer to manage your own paperwork rather than relying on a dedicated app. Maybe you simply want receipts that match your branding and look a little more professional.
Whatever your reason, having a template ready to customise means you don’t have to start from a blank page every time you need to prepare your paperwork.
Make your business paperwork a little easier
You don’t need to overcomplicate every aspect of running a business. Sometimes, a simple tool that does exactly what you need is enough.
If you’d like a receipt template you can personalise to suit your business, you’ll find my editable Canva receipt template in the Let’s Bork Etsy shop.
