š Local Dog Walking Star
š¾March Edition: Mia!

This month, the spotlight is shining on the shortest pup of the bunch ā Mia!
The first time I saw Mia was through some photos while her family were on their way to bring her home. She was just a tiny puppy with the cutest little face! Little did I know this little lady already had heaps of spunk and would soon have everyone in the house wrapped around her tail.
Breed: Dachshund
Age: 2
Backstory: Mia came from a breeder as a puppy and now lives alongside her sister, Cleo.
Personality: Full of energy and the attitude of a true diva!
Iāve had the pleasure of caring for Mia since the day she joined the family. I was already walking her sister, Cleo ā who wasnāt entirely thrilled about the new arrival at first! But it didnāt take long for Miaās charm to win her over. Now, the two are inseparable ā two peas in a pod. Thanks to Miaās incredible personality, thereās never a dull moment. Her antics bring laughter to everyone around her.

šA Special Story
Last winter, we had a stretch of days with almost constant rain. One afternoon, the weather app spotted a break in the weather and the owners and I decided decided I could squeeze in a quick walk. Mia stepped outside cautiously, sniffing the air before doing her business. I started walking, thinking we were safe for a while ā after all, the weather app said the rain wouldnāt return for hours.
We hadnāt made it far when Mia suddenly started tugging me back toward the house. I waited, hoping sheād change her mind. I even tried tempting her with a treat and a tennis ball. She took the treat (of course) but refused to chase the ball ā thatās when I knew something was up. After a few minutes, I admitted defeat and followed her lead back home.
No sooner had we stepped inside than the sky opened up ā heavy rain and thunder rolled in almost instantly. Iāll never trust a weather app more than Miaās nose again!
šWhy I Love Mia
What makes Mia truly special is her blend of sass and sweetness. Sheās full of confidence and isnāt afraid to let you know what she wants ā yet she does it all with such charm that you canāt help but smile. Contrary to what you might expect from her breed, she doesnāt bark much at all. She doesnāt need to ā one look from Mia and you instantly know exactly what she wants. And when sheās not busy showing off her bold personality, sheās an absolute cuddlebug. She loves curling up close and could spend hours enjoying belly rubs. Itās impossible not to adore her!
